Other techniques ...

Other techniques which may be used during treatment are:

Acupressure

This is used to loosen and relax tense muscles, and to treat acupuncture points and channels. It may be used as a treatment in its own right or be incorporated into an acupuncture session.

Moxibustion
This means warming acupuncture points (or larger areas) by burning a herb known as ‘moxa’ near the skin. It is particularly used to move blockages in the channels and for Cold conditions.

Cupping
In cupping, a glass cup is applied to a part of the body by means of vacuum- induced suction. Cupping can help to rid the body of pathogens, and promote a free flow of Qi in the channels.

Acutonics (Sonopuncture)
This is a needle-less and non-invasive treatment where precision calibrated tuning forks are applied on to specific acupuncture points. Each tuning fork is tuned to different frequencies and has different healing properties. When activated and placed on the skin, gentle vibrations can be felt throughout the body that's very soothing and relaxing.
